Ingredients
- 2 lbs ground turkey
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup basil pesto
- 1 cup Italian bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 ½ tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cups prepared marinara sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- Mix all ingredients, except for marinara sauce, together in a bowl. Using moistened hands, form mixture into approximately 1 inch sized balls.
- Place olive oil in sauté pan and heat to medium.
- Add meatballs to sauté pan and brown all sides.
- Turn heat to low and add marinara sauce. Stirring occasionally, simmer until meatballs are cooked through, around 10 to 15 minutes.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Serve over 1 pound of pasta and top with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
