Salmonella Saintpaul suspected in the nation wide outbreak of illness has been traced back to a fresh Jalapeño pepper from a Texas Farm. Based on this updated information I would like to outline Monterey Gourmet Foods’ efforts to produce only Food Safe products for our Customers.

This outlines the measures in place to assure that there are no Salmonella microorganisms present in either the Red Diced IQF Jalapeño Peppers or the Green Diced Brined Jalapeño Pepper that are ingredients in the Monterey Jack with Jalapeño Pepper Cheese.
Every lot number of the Red IQF Jalapeño Peppers is tested by an approved Third Party Laboratory for the presence of Salmonella *(and other pathogens).
