Ingredients:
- 10” par-baked pizza crust
- 4 oz Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
- 4 oz basil pesto sauce
- 2 pears, Red Bosc, unpeeled, cored, 1/8” slices
- 4 oz mozzarella, fresh, thin slices
Optional:
- 2 oz Walnuts, toasted, crushed
- 1 lemon, zest of, chopped
- 3 oz Mascarpone
- 4 oz Stilton Cheese, crumbled (British Blue Cheese)
Preparation:
- Preheat oven to 450F.
- Spread Basil Pesto evenly over pizza crust leaving ½” outside crust alone.
- Place Mozzarella pieces all over crust.
- Randomly lay pear slice on top of pizza (put as many pears as desire).
- Sprinkle Gorgonzola cheese all over pizza covering some of the pears.
- Bake in preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until browning starts to occur with the pears slightly softening
Optional Yield: 6 pieces - Serves 2 - 3 people for appetizer snack
