SALINAS, CA (July 12, 2005) Monterey Gourmet Foods, Inc. (NASDAQ:PSTA) announced today that it will be hosting their 2005 Annual Shareholder Meeting on Thursday, July 28 at 10am – 12 noon Pacific Time at the Embassy Suites Hotel Monterey Bay-Seaside, 1441 Canyon Del Rey, Seaside, California 93955. Speakers will include the company’s President/CEO Jim Williams and CFO Scott Wheeler, as well as key representatives from Monterey Gourmet Food’s growing family of companies which include Casual Gourmet Foods, CIBO Naturals, Emerald Valley Kitchens and Sonoma Foods. Mr. Williams will unveil plans to accelerate future sales and profits through Monterey’s newly expanded portfolio of companies and products.
Williams stated, “We believe this year’s meeting will be especially informative and interesting to our shareholders. We will be showcasing our recent acquisitions, having each company make a brief presentation about their business. As an added bonus, our chefs will be serving samples from our expanded array of products.”
